             You can’t believe everything that the insurance companies tell you. Teresa came to me the day after her accident.   She was a passenger in a car that was sideswiped and run off the road by another car.  The guy driving the other car told my client that he got a bug in his eye and was sorry.   Unfortunately my client had hit her knee on the dash and was in pain with every step.  She could not walk without feeling a sharp grinding pain in her knee.    I immediately got pictures of the car and the accident scene.  I got the insurance to pay her medical and she saw an orthopedic specialist.   She had difficulty taking care of her two kids and husband.    Her world was falling apart all around her.  I dealt with the insurance adjuster so she did not have to talk with him at all.    Her knee was torn up so bad that she was going to need surgery.  The insurance company tried to get out of paying damages.  They argued that it was not the drivers fault since he had been distracted by a bug.  I had to force them to settle.  I filed the claim in court and required the other driver to come to my office and give a sworn statement of what happen.  His story changed by that time and now he said it was my clients fault.  I proved conclusively by the photos that he was at fault and that he was lying.  With that evidence I got the insurance company to pay out to my client all the costs for past and future medical treatment,  time off work, and a fair settlement for her pain and suffering.

             Now, I did not work any special miracle on these cases.  I just did my job as a lawyer.  I did the hard work that I was supposed to do that was necessary to help my clients.   I investigated their claim, hired necessary expert witnesses, interviewed the witnesses and doctors, examined the medical records, documented and verified their damage claims, I knew the law, followed the proper procedures and held my ground for my clients.
